You have a good knowledge in Canada immigration pr FSW rules. i appreciate u. so we are lucky to get to know the solution about our querries. Thanks and keep posting here.

Mitali, FYI i have seen continuously cic website for PR FSW only since last more than six months, and i came to know a lot about the procedures. so almost 80-90% is clear, have some querries in few little things. would u pls help me?

I know that before Jun 2010, any applicant need to submit their application to the cic with forms, details and visa fees and after getting file no.(i.e 1st AOR) usualy it will takes time around 4 months, and they are giving 120 days for further all documents submission.

Now the procedure has been changed, now we need to submit all the forms required along with visa fees and all the documents in a single package. Documents incl. Passport notarised copy,IELTS result origional, education certi, Work exp certi. origional, fund proof, PCC, etc..

Pls read my some of the querries listed below and waiting for ur answer:
1. In document checklist they have mention that you need to submit the origional work exp. certi alongwith your application to CIC. is it? If it is then i am surprise because as you know it is a very valuable certificates. how can they ask to submit these in origional? and will it be return these all origional certi. to the applicant i future? i came to know from this forum that someone get it back and someone gets PR but now he doesnt have any hope to get back from CIC.

2. After applying if CIC will recommend to the applicant for further procedure, applicant will received 1st AOR, now my question is what is the next stage after getting file no.? because we have submitted all the documents so VO will it be ask again to submit the documents or what they will asking to applicant? Will they ask for medical now after?

3. How to get PCC?

4. How to get medical?

I have seen the recognised hospital with dr names on cic web site. now VO will tell that u need to go for medical on x date and x time? or we need to do it our self (We need to take appointment for the medical)? what will be in medical test? and what will they charge for medical? pls tell me in indian Rupees figure.

DEAR sir .. MR MITALI. one question ..if i continue my study ,,so what u think ,wil i make a good path to get a PR on the basis of STUDENT VISA not on the
basis of POINT SYSTEM IMMIGRATION? that m confused ;; means If m not thinking to complete 67 points for immigration ,,thinking according to student visa rules to get PR. so then , now i will face any problm to get PR as per my continuing situtions .>?? please reply sir,,

Hi Gavi,

As we have discussed earlier, you will not be able to apply for PR this year because you do not qualify (67points required to qualify). The rules for immigrating to Canada may change next year (July 2012) and we cannot predict what the rules might be. The point system is likely to be changed and so is the list of NOC. It is also probable that Immigration might be put on hold to clear the backlogs.

1. If you continue with studying then you gain Canadian Experience and that will add on to your points.
2. You cannot claim any experience from the work done under illegal circumstances (ie work performed without a valid Work Permit).

Hi Amish,

The following link is the latest of the checklist from CIC:

1. On has to provide COPIES and not the Originals of the work experience. The reference letters from the employers should be ORIGINAL and latest. Supporting docs as Job contracts should be a copy. Scroll down to number 12 and 13 in the above link.

2. After you receive a confirmation from CIO, your file will be transferred to your VO in approximately 2months. You will be notified by VO with a file number. It comes bt registered mail. Your file stays there (with VO) for about 6 months and above after which you go IN PROCESS status. You will be asked for supporting docs (If the VO is not satisfied by what is available on file). You will be requested for MEDS/RPRF/PCC during the In Process stage. Be advised that Background checks are conducted before or after your Meds.

3. For PCC you have to contact the local police station or the Passport office. For FBI cert (that is in case you have lived in USA for more than 6 months), you will have to contact FBI. It takes about 8 weeks to get FBI cert. You have to properly time the request for FBI because youe FBI cert cannot be more than 3 months old when they reach VO.

4. Once you get your Med request, contact the local DMP for the tests. The medical report will be sent directly to VO by the DMP. The fees for Meds varies and you will have to check with the DMP for the fees structure.

NOW in this situation will i face any problem regarding get PR . will they ask ME about my 8 months STUDY GAP .that was my question .PLEASE REPLY ME SIR. THANX

You can send your application without PCC but should be prepared to send one when requested by VO.

You will be requested to send RPRF fees later. Dont have to send with initial application.

When you qualify for PR, you will have to fill the following form (there are other forms too) :

In the personal history you will have to give all the details of what you have done in the past years. You will have to mention what you did in the 8 month gap period you had.

CIC will not ASK...You will have to inform them. Many people have gap in their professional life and that is okay.......
