I was deported to my home country from US after serving time in Federal prison for drug crimes. I am now married to a Canadian citizen. What are my chances of being able to emigrate to Canada with no problems. Also do USA and Canada share bio-metric info?

You need to qualify for rehabilitation and successfully go through the rehabilitation process before coming to Canada will be possible.

How recently were you deported?

Yes - Canada and the US share information. Your history in the US will be known by Canada.

You have a while to wait in that case. You won't qualify to apply for rehabilitation until 5 years have passed from the date you completed your sentence and were deported. So you're looking at sometime in 2022 before you'll qualify to apply for rehabilitation. Once you qualify and submit the rehab application, it will take anywhere from a few months to over a year to process. Only once the rehab application is approved will you be able to be sponsored for PR.

You'll need to forget about Canada for several years.
