Permanent Residency After SINP

hi friends,

i am new to this blog.

i have got sinp and subsequently applied for permanent residency in june 2013, my medicals and that of my family (consisting of my wife and son which are in india) were done in august 2013. Our file came in process on November 20, 2013. Since then till date my file is in process. i have twice sent enquiry email to CIC for my application. In first reply in January they said that the file is in process and in second they said that the file is in process and we should not email them as it will delay the process.

my question is that many of my friends have already got their residencies who have applied way after me and before me. One of my friend file came in process on November 18 he also got his residency and some in january also got it. I am unable to find out why it is taking so long. Could anyone pls help and guide as to what is going on.

I applied under provincial nominee program from Saskatchewan. I came as a student while my wife and son were in india all throughout.

As I understood correctly from your post, You went to Canada for study and your wife and your son are still in india and after that you could get your nomination from SASK and then applied for your PR for yourself and your family through CIO? I think because your wife and your son are still in India, as we know all people are outside of Canada should pass the background check before they can get their visa. in this case because you are inside Canada, your file is clear but for your wife and son background check should be done before you can get your visas. I think because of that your application is on delay. Many of people in Delhi Visa office get their passport request about 6 month after their AOR from CIC then I think you will get yours on May or June!

Some of the applicants who applied in June or July 2013 all waiting for PPR. Not sure what causing the delay. I think that's the time when strike was ended.

Yeah.. that's why some June/July applicants are delayed.

its just amazing that how everyone around my time has got their permanent residency...
my friend whose wife was in india and is similar to my case applied in december, and has got his residency last week....
any suggestions what to do....

feeling really awkward and disturbed...
i work at a place where i do not want to continue and its been 2 years in the same position and that too overnight...

if someone has any suggestion then pls tell...
