Good afternoon,

I have just landed in Ontario (December 14th). I cannot stay in Canada at the time being because I have residence in Dubai and I have some work to finish before I come back to Ontario .I expect to stay in the UAE for a period of 2 years. What happens to my residence status. Does this mean I cannot enter Canada (Ontario) when I want to come back? Please note my PR card ended in March 2017.

Please advise.

Many thanks.

Hi Guys,
Iam going through the same of what posted up here by our friend... Is it necessary to go back to Canada every six month to keep the status of our PR active? Cause Iam planning to go back after 2.5 years from my first landing which will be in June 2013 for one month only..

Your advise is highly appreciated...

No - it's not necessary to return every six months.

To maintain your PR status you must live in Canada two out of every five rolling years.

Yes - you can apply for Express Entry without a job offer.

I need help. I have worked for 1 yr and a month in the same job and NOC but worked 40 hrs. How many hours will that be? also, I have some parttime experience adding to 1 yr. Will 2 yrs count towards more points for express entry or is it the same as 1 yr fulltime.
