I dont understand why some of the applicants or sponsor are stressing
about their application as they applied for only 2 months or so...remember our timeline
is for 12 months ...dont stress yourself..if somebody got their application updated earlier
than you be happy for them ...patience is a virtue

It's ridiculous how long the waits are, the maximum should be 6 months. In South Korea I got a spouse visa in 3 months I'm Canadian and applied for my wife's permanent residence only a month ago I'm not stressing because I can live in Korea til my wife's application is processed but I can sympathize with some people. Being apart 12 months can kill a relationship even the healthiest ones.

I think the UN nations should set up a universal visa for spouses and children. Korea has deemed my relationship true but I have to prove it to Canada and wait 12 months to move home with my wife. I have a child who is Canadian and Korean. If I choose to go to Canada basically I abandon my wife and/or my child.

Most people stress because they are kept in the dark with this entire process. Whether its 2 months or 20 months. If the system had more transparency and it was easier to contact them to see the status of your file then we would all rest easier at night.

The "new" online status system is actually terrible and rarely updates in adequite time leaving "in progress" while things are actually completed for months at a time = stress
Having to order and pay for GCMS notes just for a shred of information and then waiting 30 days for it to be released and realizing its 15 days behind still = stress
Needing to contact your Member of Parliament just to ask simple questions like "has my address change been successful?" = stress
Not being able to phone the Visa Office for simple questions and simple answers = stress
Having no real information on the government immigration sites forcing us to come to these forums (which i love) = stress
Not getting return emails after submitting case specific inquiries and wondering if the information you sent was even received = stress
And then all the other many issues like re medicals and extra "testing" and missing documents and so on and so forth = stress

So guys, I applied in June 2015, and I hear people in August 2015 are getting their landing. In this case I should be dying with stress but I decided not to stress. I want to save that energy wasted in stress in living a wholesome everyday life. Your death might come before your landing esp. so much stress. So I urge you guys to relax and be assertive in seeking info but don't waste yourself in the process.
