Hi Guys, I included my pcc with my application, it was valid when I sent it, but now it is expired and I will probably get my AOR within a month, by the time I receive my AOR, do you know if they would ask for a new PCC again? has anyone experienced this?

You will know soon enough if they will request a new PCC, because technically they ask you to wait to submit it until after you receive your AOR. When you receive your request for the Schedule A form that comes after you receive AOR, it will also include a request for a new PCC if it's needed.

The PCC only needs to be valid at the time you submit your application. Keep in mind that valid means it is issued within 6 months of the application date or issued after the day you left the country.
thank you, did it happen to you or anyone else that you know of? because I want to know if I should request for a new one.

I know, but at the time I was submitting my application, i had my pcc ready, so i included it, but now i have doubts that maybe i should request for another one and it will take about a month for me to receive a new one.

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:
  • are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
  • have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.
what about if the record has an expiry date of 1 month. Unfortunately, PCCs issued in Iran are valid for a month only and that is why I have the issue of requesting it again or wait, but then if they ask for it, it will take another month for them to send me a new one.

The validity stated on the PCC is irrelevant to IRCC.

I was wondering this myself. We submitted a PCC with my wifes inland app, the certificate was well over a year old, but was also issued around 2 years since my wife was last in her home country.

All I can say is we have had the AOR and the request for Schedule A, but no mention of a PCC, so I'm assuming they accepted the "old" one ok.

Again, valid means valid to CIC not to your currently. The definition of valid means:
If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:
  • are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
  • have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.

That is, take these two scenarios for your current country of residence:
1- Your PCC has one month expiry date but is issued within 6 months of application date -> It is valid.
2- Your PCC has one year expiry date but is issued 7 months before application date -> It is NOT valid.
Thanks a lot, makes more sense now.
