Hi

I am Indian citizen but in IT job so keep traveling.

I came to UK last year for Work in April and am continuing to work here.

I got my ITA on 1st March.

I got my UK PCC on 7th April. I will be traveling to India in first week of May for a 2 months vacation.

I wanted to apply for India PCC through Indian embassy in London, but they would have kept my passport for stamping the PCC. Since I am traveling to India in May, I decided to get my PCC done through relatives in Punjab, India. (SP office, applied under NRI category).

I have received the India PCC also.

I will file my application from India (after getting medicals and Proof of Funds documents ready in India).

Now, I am afraid that either my India PCC or my UK PCC will be rejected.

What should I do? Do I have to apply for a new PCC?

If you apply from India, you need a new UK PCC issued after you left UK.

If you apply from UK, you need a new Indian PCC, from Indian Embassy in UK after you left India.

What does it mean, apply from India?
I am travelling between UK and India and have residence in both places (my family is in India).
I will submit application by end of May and at that time I will be in India.

Are you telling me that my UK PCC issued on 7th April will be invalid?

I will be coming back to UK in July and keep travelling between India and UK...

Anyone who has been travelling while submitting the application please respond.

I meant if you submit your application while you are in India.

There is a country of residence and a country of nationality. The country where you submit your eAPR should be your country of residence and the PCC should be current. Any other country PCC should be issued after you have left. Once you submit eAPR, you are free to go anywhere
