Hi Sarav

Check if your state police issue PCC without mentioning any specific period and address then it is good otherwise apply your PCC thru PSK.

Good luck

I had an appointment today at PSK Bangalore for PCC at 3: 15pm. Reached there at 3pm.
List of documents i carried
1) passport(original and photocopy)
2) aadhar card(address is non bangalore)
3) 10th Marks card(for DOB verification original and photocopy)
4) address proof on company's letter head as Im new to Bangalore.
5) ITA from express entry as received from CIC.
6) Application generated from passport.gov.in website.

There are a total of 4 levels you have to go through for PCC.

level 1: here they will check all your documents along with the application and give you the token number. If you are working for an MNC,please carry your original ID card along with a photocopy. I paid 35Rs extra for SMS service here.

level 2 : Based on your token ID, you will be redirected to counter AXX(XX is the number assigned and is displayed on screens against your token number). Here the person will take all the documents, fingerprint, photo of you(nicely fitted camera) and enters into the system and asks you to go to next counter B

level 3 : Here the person will verify(i dont know what he did). He just signed on the file and asked me to goto counter C

level 4 : It is the final round where he takes all the documents. If the address proof is of current one, then he will issue then and there the PCC. In my case, since the address is different. He said that I need to come after 4-5 days(based on the SMS i receive) to collect the PCC.

At the end, Im suppose to collect the acknowledgment letter from another counter. He asked me to wait till I receive the SMS which is 4-5 days and them come to PSK .

I came out at 4: 15 pm.

My case is totally different w.r.t passport. The discussion above will give an idea.

In the acknowledgment letter, it is said that "Please ensure your presence at your current residence address during Police verification process".
Since Im working from morning 9 to evening 6. How can I be there? If they tell me ahead, I can be there. Even the other person in the flat will be away for the same time due to his office hours. The apartment would be locked. May be I need to update the security guard and hope that he gives the correct information when they come for verification.

Can somebody update me on the last para?

Thanks,
Vijay

You will receive a call on the number provided in your application before a designated police official visit you for verification. You can update them based your availability. So no issues there.
Good luck

Thanks,
Vijay

Additionally I need to send the finger print to Canada to be verified by RCMP. But to do so, it has to be attested by local police. Will the police do it directly or do we need to pay any fees to get it done like of PCC?

Thanks,
Vijay

Hi guys

I'm having a similar issue. I've tried contacting every one with an email I can find and phoning. I am in Singapore. Can someone send me an email address that is helpful to re-open your case due to a police certificate?

Thanks!!
