PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) from Mumbai

Hello Friends,

Need help regarding PCC Police Certificate Clearance for Canada Immigration. I am from Mumbai.
As per website PCC clearance certificate can be obtained from two issuing authorities
1. From Passport Office
2. Local Superintendent of Police/Deputy Commissioner of Police/Additional Commissioner of Police or Station House officer.
As I had confirmed with some of Police officials they said it is very long Procedure and might take 1-2 Months’ time. Please suggest me whether it can be obtained in short duration from Passport office. Please suggest me if anyone has got PCC done from Mumbai.
And is there something that if Passport issue date is more than one year then PCC issued by Passport office is not accepted one has to get from Police station only.

If your passport is from Mumbai then there should be no problem.Either you can take from passport office or from above no.2.Things can be 'expedited'. ?????

Hi Guys,

I just got an ITA for CEC class, I am living in Toronto for last 5 years and I am visiting Mumbai on 2nd dec. Because of the lack of time I could not apply for India PCC from Toronto So I have do to it from Mumbai. I am from thane and my parents shifted to new address in thane but my passport have my old address In this case what should I do?

I dont have any adhar card or any address proof on my name for new location?

Please need your advice in this scenario.
