Two ways to get pcc in india
1. Apply at your passport offices they then forwarded it to S.P. office and you will get it.

2. Apply directly at your S.P. office and after verification you will get in 5-6 days

I second with HIMS08,

this is the outline of the process for PCC from India

1. Register in PSK website (for each of the family members)
2. Login with your credentials
3. Go to PCC section and opt for downloaded/offline form (as it's easier to fill up and make edits)
4. Once you are done with the form, submit it
5. You will get the ARN (keep a note of it)
6. Don't upload any documents
7. Make the payment thru your CC / online banking
8. You will get an appointment slot (but DON'T worry about the date, PCC from PSK DOESN'T require any prior appointment - JUST WALK-IN with your documents) ( if their is an early appointment, then BOOK IT )
9. Take Print out of Application receipt and Payment Receipt
10. Take required address proof and copy of your existing passport (as mentioned in PSK website)
11. DON'T take any photograph
12. Write a request letter in A4 page to RPO, (Your CITY) to issue PCC for Canadian Immigration
13. Once you submit the papers, you will get a token
14. Wait for your turn
15. get the PCC within few hours.

if you are not in punjab than opt for PVC its fast and easy
go to local police station with application of PVC and follow procedure as per officer

Is it so fast? Do they really give PCC on the same day from Passport Seva Kendra? I though they send constable to home/neighborhood.... It is written on their website.

NOC 2173-All documents are ready incl WES assesment.
I am yet to apply for PCC in India

As we are moving to US this month end .will my application processing will get delayed for want of PCC in the later stage. As i could see someof the applicants struggling to get PCC from abroad.

Seniors pl suggest with out PCC is it ok to apply or to get PCC now it self even it takes one more week additional?

PCC is not required during the initial PER assessment.
you can follow VATS post, on how to get PCC from abroad.
PCC has a 3 month expiry.

If the PSK gives PCC in couple if hours; why are they askkng for 2 reference? Wouldn't it take time to verify from references?

i checked in local embassy here in middle east.

they say they will assist for PCC of india for me and my family from here itself...

no need to communicate with indian office....

is it true? if yes then its really a good news for me....

I am in process of collecting documents and would courier my documents only in 1st week of June. When should I initiate PCC process?

Can we get it through local police station too or Passport seva kendra is the only option?

PCC is valid for 3 months only. so initiate PCC only after you get MR.
you can get it through the local police, for example if someone is in HYD then they can apply it from here
