When I applied for PCC, VFS didnt take my passport, they just need a photocopy.
I dont think you have to give your passport for PCC even if its not VFS. They just verify it when u go to submit..

That is quite an old process. BLS guys take original passport and for a reason I can't fathom, they even take original immigration paper(Work Permit) in my case.

Yes I got that too and I do not understand y BLS needs our passport and original work permit.
Firstly I don't trust anything that the consulate or BLS does. The people working there need to learn basic manners first.
Unbelievable I say and very frustrating to just go there and wait for hours ..

actually, its not quite an old process. thats what VFS did until the end of february.

after reading your statement about BLS, I feel like they are just trying to be extra ridiculous to take what they dont need...
People should really complain about it.. you might think that its useless, but it doesn't hurt..

I still dont understand why VFS gave up! They could've charged money to everyone if that was the problem!
Atleast they gave a better service.. great staff and I got my PCC done in 4 days!

Few passports which are obtain under tatkal scheme dosent show PCC cleared in system, hence CGI send request to India which takes forever.
So if your PCC is pending with CGI for over month please widraw your application and fly india and get PCC from Passport office as well as local SP office.

I very much want to complain, but no idea what to do. 365 Bloor St id***s neither answer a phone nor respond to an email.
And now those id***s got competition in the form of 1448 Lawrence Ave. I tried to reason with them that WP is Canadian govt issued document, why would our embassy need it? Flat answer was, that is the process. I asked the counter lady to consult with senior, she did that and response was same. She showed me a print from the website stating the requirements for PCC and there it was .

VFS was a bunch of efficient(and costly) guys.

of course not.. VFS just verified the photocopy with your passport when you go there to submit the form. They took my PGWP photocopy without verifying. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful (great customer service).

I only paid like $40 or something to VFS, that's not at all costly my friend... and yes, they were really efficient. I got mine done in 4 business days!
