PCC India from BLS

Hello Experts,

I submitted my PR Application in Feb and have received the AOR. I have not sent the PCC with the application and now i feel i should get the same as soon as possible.

However, the problem is i have to travel a lot to US for work and so i have to have my passport with me. Do we need to submit the passport with the application and they will keep it until they get the PCC? How stupid process is that..

I am trying to call BLS but the line is always busy.. seems like they keep the phone hanged down Any advice???

Yes, They will keep the passpost untill they process your PCC ........(My passpost is still with them from last 3 weeks Hope to receive in 1-2 weeks)
The other thing the phone is not hanged down,,, but i guess only 1 agent per location ....LOL

I have called couple of times to get the rigt info.
keep trying keep trying and finally your call will be in que...

One more think,,, as per the checklist they mentioned FOUR recent photographs for Indian / Foreign National, however they just need only ONE.

Usually It should take only week or two to receive your PCC as CGI just check the database of ministry of foreign affairs database and issues a PCC.

If you don't receive any response within a month just we draw your application and get PCC from India regional passport office or SP of your area.

I know this is bitter truth but this is the way Indian government works. They will keep saying that we have forwarded your PCC request to Indian authorities for more than 6-8 months. If you have patients to wait for 8-10 month you probably wait.

Please carry 4 Photographs and submit them. One of my friends application was returned as he did not submit 4 photographs and my application was returned as I did not submit 3 copies of Police Clearance Reference Form, but my wife got her PCC even though she submitted 1 copy of Police Clearance Reference Form. It all depends on the officer who is processing your application at CGI.

Hi All , I applied for PCC on 2013-05-10 EDMONTON, and when I tract my application today it says Ready for Collection,

does it mean I can go and pickup..........as they said they will be sending a Text message or email to Pick PCC, which i never received.....

Please go and collect it. In fact, your PCC was done way faster than mine or any of the others on this site.

I am new to this forum and I actually joined because I have the same exact question to ask... even I cannot afford to give my passport for 4 weeks (or 6 months in some cases). my question is:

Can I get my PCC from India instead of getting it from BLS (here in Canada) ?
If I get my PCC from India - will this have a bad impact on my application in any way?
I know this but still want to make sure with the greater team here - can I submit my PCC after submitting my application?

I appreciate this.
