Hi guys, for applying FSWP, PCC is mandatory for principal applicant, from the age of 18 till now, so my question is, whether the same is needed in case of spouse also. I am from India, my spouse was in UK from 2008 to 2013 march. He got PCC from there by march end. What is the validity of that certificate... is that enough for applying FSWP or need to get any more PCC certification from India or UK?

Yes - the same rule applies to the spouse. The PCC cannot be more than three months old when it is recieved by CIC.

Thanks Scylla for your immediate response. Still we have some doubts..
He got PCC from UK dated 12th of March, and the same month (28th) he relieved from UK. That means he possesses the PCC when he was ther and it is quite difficult to get it again as he left UK completely. So by providing that as a supporting document, shall we proceed with PCC, which obtained recently from India? Plz consider...

You can go ahead - but the PCC is supposed to be no more than three months old when it reaches CIC (regardless whe the person lived there). So CIC may ask for a new PCC from the UK.

It seems to be a common misconception that you can leave a country with a PCC and that somehow it remains valid for ever. It doesn't, of course and it will need to be applied for again. I have noticed a number of posters on this forum that think that just because they haven't been back to a country for years, they don't need to follow the rules.

Its fairly simple to get hold of one from overseas. Follow the instructions
