Hello Guys,

Which one is fast? And what's the procedure to do so in getting the PCC in India.

I am living in New Delhi - and I got two options on getting the PCC -

1. Delhi Police - http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/

2. PSK New Delhi

Please guide which one is fast and what's the procedure to follow.

i think the DP website says 7 days subject to field inquiry. i think it's the same for PSK. i have the same confusion.

does anyone know if field inquiry is mandated in both agencies? PSK I know you need to take an appointment to visit.

Not sure about New Delhi, but know field enquiry is mandatory via police department. For the PSK route, it depends on the passport officer.

Even though we applied for a reissue of passport and a PCC within a span of one year, a constable was sent home for enquiry.

If you have lived in any other city in India, then get it from PSK. If your whole life you have lived within jurisdiction of Delhi Police, get it from them.

Why is it so? Also as believe and experience, it will be more good in allowing the Passport field officer home for enquiry as compared to that of Delhi Police officer.

Delhi police thing is quick and completely online, as I understand from others

Mine was Gurgaon, so heard from people in Delhi

PCC from PSK covers all the cities you have lived in India. Whereas the PCC from Delhi police will just cover its jurisdiction.

As far as verification from PSK is concerned, there will be no Passport field officer visiting you. It will be your local police only.

Let me rephrase my previous statement. Its good to get a PCC from PSK, but if you have lived in the jurisdiction of Delhi Police your entire life, you can get PCC from Delhi Police also.
