PCC from India while in India

Hello All,

I belong to state A (In India) and now working in State B past more than one year (in India). While submitting PCC to Immigration Office,
1. Is a PCC required for different cities/states even in India--in other words, do I need to get a PCC from state A and State B?
2. What is the best way to get the PCC from India.

Kindly advise on the process and the timeline for issuing of the PCC.

Any advise will be really appreciated.

Request to all applicants you applied from India.

1. AFAIK, you need one PCC from one country, not from different states.

2. Try asking your local police station. Here I got it from the CP's (Commissioner of Police) office in 1 week.

Haryana Police have a system for PCC.. maybe, your state does too... check for it.

you need it from India.. try your local Police Station.

Other way is to go to your Regional Passport Office, but that may take time because they too send the request to your Local PS eventually...

if all your credentials are OK, the on-duty hawaldar will take a Gandhi and give a clean chit...

official fee is Rs. 300 in PS or RPO

Hi Abhishek

The PCC HAS to be from the passport office -- there is an established procedure for obtaining it. The passport office will in turn check with police stations in the areas where you have been residing and issue the PCC.

Form 2 is for the PCC where you have to mention the country where you are immigrating to. The PCC issued will mention the PCC is for the purpose of immigrating to Canada.

Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police. Police clearance certificates from the regional passport office (RPO) are also acceptable."

When I asked around, I heard that RPO takes more time and that CP/SP is faster, which was proved in my case since I got it in a week. Also, there is apparently no fees for this either, but I did give money to the man who came for verification. I guess it differs at each station.

Just want to know, do we have some standard PCC request forms? or Do I have to write my PCC request in simple A4 size paper and send to local PS. I heard the same Passport office takes more time.

Can I modify PCC (to change SP office Addres wrt to my current state) on provided link and submit it to Local PS. Will it enough??

PCC is a regular feature.. they must have a standard form, i'm sure

Hello All,

I went to local Commissioner of Police office, where I am currently working (state B) and came to know that they can provide me one PCC only from State B, not from my state A (where I actually belong). In this way, I will get one PCC that shows, I am on State B for particular durations (from XX-YY-ZZZZ to XX_YY_ZZZZ).
Now my questions are here,
1.If I will submit this PCC(@ State B) to CIC Office, will it enough or not??
OR
2. I read on this forum that I have to submit only one PCC from one Country. In this way, this PCC (@ State B) should be enough and need not to submit PCC from State A. Please suggest me.

you donot want pcc from each state so go to passport office fill form no 2 in which they will ask for which country u want pcc and write the purpose.In delhi they take this form along with your passport in the morning and maximaum will give u back next day at passport.office.I have got this from delhi so u can also try it from your state.btw if u wnt 1 pcc only from 1 country.

actually I have filed my application on 24 nov 2008 from london visa office.I am from delhi India presently working in kuwait.MY file is tranffered to nova scotia as my noc 3143 is in the list.According to old ecas status(before updation 13-5-09) they started processing my file on 28 march 2009 but new status is file recieved on. 25 nov 2008.No news until now.But I am planning to go to india next months
