Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

Has anybody done PCC from India (specifically Mumbai) recently and know how does police verification is done here?
My scenario.
Passport Address: Mumbai
Current address: (more than 1 year) : Pune
When passport was issued, the police verification was waived off i.e. no verification happened at that time since maybe it was just a re-issue.

SO now my confusion is shall I go to Mumbai PSK and apply for PCC (what is the risk?) or I apply via Pune? My currnet address is rented so apart for rent agreement, do not have any other document on my name.

So I want to know recently if anybody done PCC, how does it work?

We got a letter from Canadian visa office to submit PCC in 30 days.

We are not sure we will get it in 30 days.

What should I do?

Thnx

You should submit it as soon as you get it.

Optionally, in my opinion, you can send them your proof of application and mention that the PC application is in progress, and you will send it as soon as you can.

Depending on the country, it could take 1 - 3 months, so they probably know that 30 days is too less. Technically you were supposed to keep the PC ready before they send a request, but I believe they take an understanding view generally, if all else was fine.

We sent application 10 months ago.

This is the first reply from them asking for PCC and pay some fees (not application fee. Application fee was paid 10 months ago)

I was told by police office to bring letter from Canada visa office to apply for PCC. So we could not apply for PCC.

Any guidance very very appreciated.
