Hi All,

I have got ITA and there are 48 days left to submit the docs. I am from India and in US for lat almost 1.5 years. My spouse is primary applicant and in India. She got PCC from India and I got PCC from Indian consulate in US. To get the PCC I checked websites and found that it can be obtained in 2 days but missed that it was for only US citizen or US PR. Now I am sending the application to FBI but it will take 16 weeks from now. I checked the local police station and they said they can give the clearance certificate for the city. Will that work. I am sure that clearance from FBI, I will not get in remaining 48 days. Please advice.

Thanks.

CIC is aware that FBI PCCs take a long time.
So if it doesn't arrive in time, you can submit your application with the payment receipt for your PCC, and a LOE explaining that you're waiting for your PCC to arrive and will submit it ASAP.
