You do not require PCC from Canada. This is what the I see in CIC website.Goku said:Yes because your stay in Canada was more than 6 months.
I believe you do not need to submit a PCC from Canada. If CIC sees the need for it, they will request one later on.John_S said:Hi,
I stayed in Canada 18 months and I moved to USA.
I now applied for PR under CEC. Do I need to apply for PCC for Canada?
Correct, PCC from Canada is not required. If a name based search during the application assessment comes uprazerblade said:I believe you do not need to submit a PCC from Canada. If CIC sees the need for it, they will request one later on.
You don't need it for CEC.John_S said:Can someone help me how to get Canada PCC from USA.
Since it's not mandatory - I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it right now. If nothing comes up on your record, it should be fine.John_S said:But CIC randomly asks people to submit their PCC for Canada also. It is easy to get this if we reside in Canada, but looks like it is little difficult to get this from outside Canada.
It is not random. CIC conducts name-based checks on all applicants. If the name based check is not clear - for example, you share a name with someone who has a criminal record - only then will CIC request a fingerprint-based check.John_S said:But CIC randomly asks people to submit their PCC for Canada also.
