When Passport is requested, doubt with regard to PCC!!

You just have to submit fresh PCC of the present country of residence right?

Also if a person has already submitted PCC of a specific country and has not traveled back to that country till date, then does he/she still need to apply for a fresh PCC?

For instance, having submitted the passport and mentioning the above statement in the covering letter and attaching xerox copy of the old PCC to the V.O ....will that be sufficient?

As the V.O can cross check the passport and also go through the copy of the Old PCC for reference.

Related more specifically to New Delhi visa office.

Please reply.

The visa office might be asking for a new PCC ( an updated PCC) of your resident country. If you are an Indian citizen, you need to submit a new PCC from India.

You need not get again a new PCC from the foreign countries where you lived for more than 6 months, if initially submitted already.

I submitted my 3 years old UAE PCC which I got while leaving UAE, was never requested a new PCC. I already got pp request.
