PCC application through bls-canada (Ottawa center) via the postal application

Hi all,
I am currently applying for a police clearance certificate (PCC) for my PR application through bls-canada (Ottawa center) via the postal application. Their website is very ambiguous.
Do I need to submit my ORIGINAL passport and ORIGINAL work permit (PGWP) for the PCC application? or only photocopies are enough? Does anyone here have experience with this?
Any help would be appreciated.
