None. Paystubs are not required. They are an optional document that can be used as proof of employment.

In some situations, they are very useful, for example, if you are paid an hourly wage instead of a salary, or if you have variable hours or part-time hours.

For most people, however, T4 and NOA are the preferred documents, and one or two recent paystubs are just icing on the cake. But if you're applying right now and don't yet have your T4/NOA for 2018, your final paystub of 2018 will usually show cumulative (Year-to-Date).

I just got a request asking for the following information for my two jobs I applied with. They dont specify how many paystubs but 24ish a year for 5 years seems like more than they need. Also my second job was in the states and so doesnt have a T4 and my bank statements do not go back that far.

-Paystubs or cheques from all employers
- T4 from all employers
- Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency
- All bank statements (detailing all transactions)
- New employment confirmation from current employer.

OK, that's an unusual request. Was there more info in the request that would give some context to this request?

RE the job in the USA, IRCC will be equally familiar with the 1099s as the T4 - so, no excuse : )

Agreed, they did not ask for every single paystub - first, end of year (last paystub of the year shows YTD-cumulative information), and last for each job should be sufficient.

The "all bank statements detailing all transactions" blows my mind. Did they give you a time frame?

I got a PDF of my payroll deposits from my current job but my statements only go back 2 years. I assume they only want my payroll deposits for my bank statements.

I'm really confused by the new employment confirmation letter consider I listed that I'm still working there and have worked there for almost 5 years. I also included employment letters for both jobs and that should've been enough. I have friends at work with the exact same situation that didnt have these extra requests

Do I need to submit pay stubs for all of my experience? I have reference letters and offer letter from my past and current employer alongwith pay stub for three of my employers, I am missing pay stubs of two employers that I mentioned but I have the reference letters with all the details required. Will that be enough?

If any of the letters were dated before the completion of the experience you are claiming, the VO can´t give you credit for all your time. Of course I have no idea if this is what happened, but it could be one reason for requesting new letters.

My letter was up to date to the time I submitted when I was invited to apply. I've been given another one that is up to date to today for when I supply all the documents requested but I'm still confused by the need. Maybe because it took almost 4 months after I submitted for them to start reviewing?

@Dthayes what have you done with your request, I also got a similar request asking for paystubs alone from my current employer and previous employer. I don't have the first company's paystubs as I have left the organization 10 years ago. Will a letter of explanation suffice for my previous org's paystubs? Also, will this delay the processing?

I got the same request... even my eligibility was rec. pass

My application still in process... and I have all my pay stubs from my previous job.. I am AOR-20 aug 2020... my everything is is passed right now as I called IRCC on Monday ... but the documents I uploaded still not updated on my profile...

For documentation in PR Canada file, My name on CRA documents and Pay slips are not complete. let's say for mahammad tahir khan. its mahammad khan only in both. however I have full name on my reference letter.

Its better to get it ammended. You never know.
