Hi,
I m under h1b visa in US right now and willing to file for AINP (Alberta Immigration Nomineed Programme) in canada. After i file, i want to go back to my home country cause i have been working in the US for some time now. the problem is my current employer is not giving me paystubs and AINP requires it. Because of recession also, i have not been able to find any work.

The AINP programme requires paystubs and i do not have it. My questions are :

1. how many paystubs are required for AINP ?
2 am i illegal or out of status in US ?
3 how can i get my paystubs from my current employer ?
4 My employer has not paid me in 6 months can i claim paystubs ?

Thank you

Alerbta says- if you are applying under H1b -SRS programme you need to be on H1b status till the decision made.

Now as per your plan , you may not be eligible if you went back to home country without recieving your nomination from alberta.

Also as per new processing time posted by alberta, one has to wait for 8 months before he/she gets the nomination.

Answer to you other question- Paystub is important but may not be the only document you can provide to prove your current employment, look for other options like bank stmt ?? W2 ??

Since you are planning to go back to home country, just try for FSW ( if you are in IT fields and falls under NOC-0213/IT manger ) then apply , earlier alberta started with the punch line that this is fast track for PR but it does not look as of now.

good luck

Thanks PV for your reply.

What will happend if i apply for AINP now without submitting a paystub (since i do not have one) and come to US from different employer (after 6 to 8 months) and submit paystub then ?

you can give a try, generally pay stub is one of the document they demand as per the check list. Since you do not have the one but want to give a try assuming you will have job in next 6 - 8 months, you can bcoz AINP itself will take 5-8 months.

Good luck for your job hunting.

Give a second thought for FSW and apply it from here(USA). I am not very hopeful for AINP though I clearly see my job into NOC list, but the amount of time they are saying now its long and you never know they might just stop in next month.

Like FSW has only retained 0213 code for IT professional under category 1, you should be prepared for such news from alberta.
I have sent AINP application 45 days back and now also started FSW - not sure which will click first.

mentioned above is my personal thought, you can use them as reference only, they are just the outcome of my thought process.
