Hi guys,

Is it mandatory to provide payslips while applying pr or while submitting documents as per cic request?
I was getting salary as a cash as i was under salary which tax exempt. I am having experience letter with me, what else cic can request?

While applying for PR you need to submit any documents.. After ITA you will have to provide your proof of employment and Salary..

CIC CAN request anything - pay stubs, tax forms, invoices, etc. But you can submit your letter without those things, and they may find it enough. If they ask for pay stubs, you can tell them you were paid in cash and tax exempt, and maybe you can get your employer to confirm that. But start with your letter, and let CIC take it from there.

I asked the HR manager at my company, who has helped people go through PR, and was told, you don't have to submit paychecks. You do have to submit the letter. However, the CIC can request more proof, in which case, you might have to submit paychecks or tax documents to prove your salary and that they are paying. Basically, if the CIC agent responsible for evaluating your application feels that they need more proof to verify your claims, they ask for it.
I'd submit your letter and then get any other documentation together in case they ask for it. You should have a tax return, regardless if pay was tax exempt or paid in cash, so I would make sure you are prepared to show that as proof that you were paid by your employer.
It might be a good idea to consult a lawyer about this if you don't have any other proof other than the letter.
