Hi all,

I have a quick query and would appreciate if you can please advise me or draw me into right direction.

With regards to Pay slips, I have an issue that I have only kept last 7 pay slips and rest of my past employment pay slips are unavailable. Do I have to submit pay slips with all past employers? I have tried to obtain previous pay slips but it seems not possible.

A quick response would be highly appreciated.

Cheers

Pay slips are not required at New Delhi Visa Office.

Which is your local Visa Office?

For your work experience related documents, all you need is:

WORK EXPERIENCE

For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
• notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers, accompanied by an English or French translation
• original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers. Letters must be written on company letterhead and show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, and be stamped with the company’s official seal.

Letters must include all of the following information:
• the specific period of your employment with the company
• the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time spent in each position
• your main responsibilities and duties in each position
• your total annual salary plus benefits
• the signature of your immediate supervisor or the personnel officer of the company
• a business card of the person signing

Most of the employers do not give employment contract or appointment letter. What can we do in this situation?

Can we ask employer to print appointment letter with previous years date or joining date.

Seniors please comment.........

it is better to have a employment contract as in England ur employer is required by law to give u one.

in the case of ur past employer, i would say get a contract done, if the employer is nice, just ask him to sign & date it & explain to him that u need this to immigrate. as u r no longer with them, i think they should not complain.

as for the current employer, have u got one?

it is my opiion that London CHC likes to have only the docs that r mentioned in the document checklist. so, it's better to give them that

Hey shibleebd,

I have got it for the current employer but not for any of the previous one. In fact, I didn't receive it from my past employers.

What do you suggest?

in the case of ur past employer, i would say get a contract done urself, make 2 copies, 1 for u to keep 7& 1 for ur previous boss, go to ur previous boss & explain to him that the immigration application will not be processed without thie employment contract & u will be more than grateful if he could help u for the last time, ask him to sign & date it (previous dated) & don't forget to ask ur boss also to give u a business card so that u can staple it with ur contract & inform him that from the visa office they might contact him although it is a very slim possiblity. as u r no longer with them, i think they should not complain. it's better to go thru the pain of collecting all docs now & then send the full package rather than getting an additional request for the missing doc after 5 months of full doc submission.

best of luck, my friend..........

Thanks for reply

this way, appointment letter of previous dates looks more fresh and healthy compare to experience letter of current dates...

Hey,

Thanks for the suggestions.

In last 10 years I have worked for about 5 different employers. I have worked for Supermarket and also temping through an agency, now the real problem is that i can't get employment contract from these two at all. I barely manage to get reference from these ex-employers. I have tried every avenue to turn it round but not possible.

If I only send uptodate reference letter from these ex-employers and write a cover letter explainnig my situation, do you think it would help?

Please let me know.

Cheers

if u can't, u cant. but be prepared to tell the same thing to visa office, in case the ask for it.

if u r taking only the up to date reference leter from ur ex-employers, i think it's better to prepare the refrence letter urself, in the refe. letter input all the job duites that u have done & all other sections that a typical employment contract would contain & also all the specific rquirements that are in the document checklist for London CHC & at the very last of that ref. letter include this line: ''we are providing this reference letter also due to the fact that no employment contract has been issued to the employee''. this way u r indirectly attaching a employment contract, not by face value but by real value. then as u said, also attach a very good cover letter explaining why u r attachiung the previous employment contracts. the rest is up to the Almighty. i think it should be ok.

a very best of luck.............

Do you have copies of your tax returns that you filed over the number of years? You can use that as evidence of employment if you do not have pay slips.
