Payment with BMO

Hello everyone. I really need a help on payment issue. so I tried to pay for IRCC Permanent Residence by using BMO debit card, It's not on INTERAC online list so i input the payment details. I've tried more than 3 times and it stated that please use another payment method (error code : 056) All i have is this debit card to pay. I've tried to contacted the bank but no response, yet.could anyone help me with this matter?

From what I read, if your debit card has another payment logo on it (Interac + Mastercard for example) you can't use it for Interac Online. Given that it says you can ONLY use Interac Online for debit card purchases you won't be able to use that card, you'll have to find an alternative.

Yeah i find it frustrating cause i only have this method of payments. I've tried contacting BMO but no luck yet. Do you know any alternative of how i can use it for Interac Online? Thank you very much!

It seems quite clear from the Interac Online page that you won't be able to use that debit card so you'll have to find an alternative. Can't you get a friend to lend you their card?

You can get a prepaid credit card, Visa or Mastercard from many banks. Works like a regular card but you put money on it upfront then then it works as a credit card to pay for purchases.

unfortunately not. and the ammount is quite big. so i have to use creditcard right? thanks for the idea

There is a big difference between a regular credit card and a prepaid card. Regular card you are applying for credit, prepaid you are not applying for credit.
Seriously doubt it would not be given to you. Drop by your bank and ask, probably the fastest way to get one.

You can pay fees from someone else credit card and then pay him/her back. Cic doesn’t care who paid fees unless it’s paid in full amount. This is best option.

You have to say you're paying by credit card not interact.... Then enter your debit card info as a credit card... Visa Debit MasterCard Debit whichever it is.

Enter your EXP and 3 digits on the back as if it's a credit card. It should go through if you don't select interact. If not try someone else's card as said above just give them the money.
