Hello .. My friend got married after submitting the application with AOR received in August .. now he added the spouse to his application through CSE for which CIC responded to upload certain documents. He has the below queries regarding the new documents.

1) CIC has asked to upload 'Payment receipt' under new docs. Does he need to upload the initial payment made to CIC. He will be paying the fee for spouse once new docs are uploaded. Hence he cant upload spouse payment receipt upfront with new docs.

2) Also in the CIC message there is a Questionnaire attached 'Spouse(Marriage) Relationship Questionnaire' with 7 pages on it .. should he need to fill and attach under 'Proof of Relationship' for new docs.

Kindly share your experience if you have added your spouse in the application after AOR.

I confess I don't have first-hand experience with adding a spouse, but I tinker on the CIC site a lot, and it seems like your friend has to pay separately to add their spouse, and then upload that new receipt:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=IN&lob=eesd

Not sure if the questionnaire is online or a PDF, but it seems to be the latter, so yes, your friend should fill that out and presumably add their marriage certificate.
