I am applying through EE, paying in the next week. I am currently outside of Canada in the UK, but my permit is valid till July etc.. Anyway, I have a Canadian debit card, can I use that to pay my fees? (1090).. I have a Canadian credit card but it only has a limit of 300 and its maxed out.. I can pay on English credit cards, but how would I go about that? Would it be charged in Canadian dollars to the card with no problems? I can't find any info on how to do this.. Thank you in andvance to anyone that can advise! Cheers

You can pay with either your English or Canadian debit cards. If you decide to pay with your English card, the British pound equivalent, depending on the prevailing exchange rate, will be deducted from your account. It is advisable to pay on a working day so that the transaction gets processed immediately.

Thanks! So my Canadian TD visa debit would definatly work! It only mentions credit cards on the CIC website.. I was just worried how an English card would work with the exchange rate but I guess it just gets converted on the spot? Cheers!

I doubt whether a debit card can be used. At least, I did not find an option of doing the payment using debit card. I used my Indian CitiBank credit card.

Yeah I'm gonna use an English credit card. It just calculates the exchange rate on the spot and CIC get their money?

Right CIC will get the amount and money generated thru exchange rate will go to bank.
