Hello,

I have a question about paying fees.

Residents of Quebec

If you are a resident of Quebec, you will need to pay an additional processing fee to the province of Quebec when you submit your undertaking to MIDI. For more information about Quebec provincial processing fees, visit Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI).

Does this change the total amount I would have to pay?

Right now the fees I would have to pay would be 475 + 75, sponsor and principal applicant right?

Hi

No, it doesn't change the amount you pay to IRCC .

It is recommended that you pay the $490 RPRF upfront as well to avoid delays in IRCC requesting it.

Yes... this is an extra 275$ that Canadians from other provinces do not have to pay. The amount you have to pay to IRCC does not change, therefore this 275$ to MIDI is an extra fee that others Canadians do not have.

Principal Applicant: 475$
Sponsor: 75$
RPRF: 490$
Total to IRCC: 1040$

For Quebecers, you add 275$ to MIDI...

When and how do you have to pay to MIDI?

You pay on the website when you are ready to submit your CSQ app.

I suggest you do some more research on the process. The answers to your questions are easily found on the website.

You should wait for IRCC to ask you to apply for CSQ (you need their letter to apply for CSQ). In our case, we applied to IRCC in August 2015 and got the request to apply for CSQ by the end of June 2016 (about 10 months after IRCC application). To pay for the CSQ, you can use a credit card. The normal processing time for CSQ was 30 calendar days, but it is now a bit longer. But, anyway, after getting the CSQ, IRCC needs to approve the sponsor.... We are yet waiting for that...
