paying employer compliance fee

Hi Everyone!

We are looking on how to pay the employer compliance fee, me and my employer can't find it we already have the form IMM 5802 but we can't find the payment link online. It direct us to "pay your Fees page" which can be found here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp but there's no selection for employer compliance fee

Holy crap that is complicated!

So on this link...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

... you want to select 'Temporary Residence' and click go. Then you want 'Work Permit (including extensions)'.

You'll get to the list of fees. You want to scroll down to the button that says 'Pay my fees online'. Click on that and go to the next screen, where you need to click the continue button. Then you have the disclaimer screen to go through... yawn...

On the next screen you have 'Citizenship' or 'Immigration' as the options. You want 'Immigration'.

On the next screen you want to click 'Temporary Residence'.

You should FINALLY be able to 'Compliance Fee (employer)' as an option.

Yeah that's what I'm looking for, It's really complicated I think the one who create the links need to fix it. I know every people here who is supported by their employers don't want their boss to get stuck on this process. Thank you so much! +1 for you arowberry

That really was comically difficult. You'd think there would be an LMIA option at the start to help out a bit!

i really like to know how to send it because according to what i read, they should receive it before we can send application...

2. I am trying to test the payment process, but it seems like you can't pay the fees until you fill out the form. But how can the form be filled out without paying the fee first, as the receipt number should be included in the form?

It's the same on the last part of your video don't hit exit just click on the "immigration" link on the left

hi pls if someone can help us about 5802, does my employer need to send it thru "SUBMIT BUTTON"??? coz we are not receiving anything and some people just PRINT it and mail it with Work permit application. Which one is correct???

Once you're done filling up the forms, click continue on the bottom right of the page and then you'll be routed out to a page where you'll see compliance fee of $230, scroll down and the bottom right click "transmit and pay".

I am not sure what exactly is LMIA exempt number. I just applied for the work permit and it came after 4 months.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if some of you may be able to advise me on this matter urgently please.

Our situation is as follows in Nova Scotia:

1. I am currently on an IEC visa which expires in about 6 weeks
2. Me and my brother have got our Provincial Nominee Certificate with a Letter of Support today to apply for a new work permit
3. We have not submitted our PR application yet as PNP just came through
4. We have just been told that there is an employer compliance fee as we have to apply for employer specific work permit
5. Sadly, my employer wont pay it

Is there any was around this at all??? I know some have been in similar situations with this, how did things work out

I was first told the employer compliance fee was only needed for online application and not at the Port of Entry, but now Im told it has to be paid regardless.

Ive called CIC offices several times and they have advised me incorrectly far too many times with conflicting information, so Im hoping the pool of knowledge on the forum here along with your experiences may be able to advise me a bit further to shed light on some options.

Ideally we would like to keep working to remain employed so that the PNP will still be valid for our PR application.

Ive thought about requesting a leave of absence from work if they wont pay the fee just to remain 'employed' to not invalidate the PNP offer.
I am told that simply submitting my PR application will not grant us 'Implied Status' either without a work permit application submission.

Id appreciate any constructive helpful ideas and guidance other then the obvious one of 'packing my bags and leaving' as it was put to me so eloquently by an agent on the phone from CIC.
