I’ll say you’ll get the email first. The online status is not really important as I know someone who has gotten AIP and can’t even see any updates online.

So I am happy to inform you all that I got my PR card today
It's the email, I don't think they upload AIP online, probably they would just write we sent you a correspondence,consider delay In delivery or so, because I got my AIP ,May 4th and it's not showing online but my Medicals is showing as received.

Can we claim our passport back from ircc.After pr card . Or do we have to apply for RTD .not asking to travel my home country, but for usafor work related trips in case and also are we eligible to apply usa visa .for me and my wifes passports are still valid (surrendered),my six yr old’s is expired ,been surrendered too
Its very much relief ,to chat here in this group . If some one can take intiative . We all can some social chat group .becos likwise me . Theremust be lots who dont know about our rights and allowances here. Last week i had dentist visit . Tooth extracted . I was not awared that its coved by ifh .so whole procedure went cashless .

Yes after you collect your PR ,you can request for your passport, or go to CBSA office to request for it, as for going to US, if you came in as refugee through the land borders, I don't think you can go to America until you become a citizen, bit if you came into Canada directly before claiming asylum, then you can visit America with your PR.
