Thanks , this person made the compulsory 120 hours but had less than 750 for the rest and submitted his application, so the mailed him that his application is refused
Did they say why they didn't accept his application on the letter?

Yes they said hours is not complete.
He was given AOR, he checked his status online and showed in process, so he asked his lawyer may be he received AIP, the lawyer said NO, 2 days after the lawyer received a mail of refusal and when he checked his status, it shows Application refused.

Did it happen recently like days ago or how long ago did this happen? Was it 120hrs internship with well explained job roles and NOC or 120 hrs real job with pay slips to back it up? Because if the 750hrs or 6 months work experience is not complete yet, they can’t deny based on that. We have up till August or October 2021 to gain the experience needed.

it happened few days ago, not internship, the person worked as PSW ,but the 6momths ,750 hours was not completed before he submitted his application. He has more than 120 hours for the first stage. He got AOR already, they already put his refugee claim on hold too before this happened.

This is strange! The immigration officer should have waited for the 6 months to be sent to him b4 making decision or better stil send a mail to the lawyer to provide evidence of required experience. Your friend’s lawyer should be able to appeal that decision though if your friend really worked as a PSW & he has all those payslips evidences & required hours

That’s serious. Could that be true? Even if they want to do that it should be in 2nd stage I.e after AIP. And only those who are stil on social assistance after AIP may be refused. I know some people who just stopped Social assistance immediately after AIP and they got 2nd stage approval.

Another thing could be if his reference letter stated full-time or part-time. If full time your hours should definitely be more than 750 for that period. Only if part-time can be 750. According to the requirements stated... thinking outside the .

This is so shocking!!!!
I know of few people that had to send their remaining hours later after they applied and got AIP.
If truly it was because of incomplete hours he got refused,by now he should have the remaining hours and get a good Lawyer to fight it.

I know some folks who collected CERB throughout last year and still got their AIP.
Though it all depend on individual officers handling each case.
