I agree..but then again, the main reason we qualified for this program in the first place is because we were refugee claimants. . It’s kinda complicated.

It's tricky. The question is who's gonna risk it all and go to his country... because the first person is gonna be a lesson to us all. Personally if I don't see someone go and then come back without any problem, I'm not gonna try it

So the question is,those who were refugees,had failed hearing and appeal.
Applied for H & C and got it,can they travel to their home country?

It could be ur recent payslips or letter from ur employer. If u like u can print your bank statement. They just need something to show that you re working so that they can put it in your file

So someone asked me if we can use the Permanent Residency Card we got from Pathway to travel to our home country even though we were Assylum Seekers before this Pathway application came out.
Mind you,at a stage in the application, we were told to withdraw our Refugee application before they can issue COPR.

So I throw it to the house,what's your opinion?

100% correct you can travel back to your home country with no restrictions. This pathway is under H& C hence your also requested to withdraw your refugee claim..It's under humanitarian. Once you receive your AIP you become a Temporary Resident. Whether your a failed Refugee claimant or you haven't done your hearing.

Everyone is kind of scared of what the outcome would be.
We all looking for someone that will "test" it...

I definitely agree with you. Protected Persons PR doesn’t require a submission of valid passport or police clearance from home country. But as mentioned by someone on this platform, decisions should be based on precedents from former persons who obtained their PRs through H&C.

Another example, I know of some who is a Refugee claimant,went for hearing,appealed, judicial review,all failed.
She got married and was given a PR.
She has been traveling back and forth to her home country without any issue.

Most times you won’t know your fate until you apply for citizenship - they mostly do their audit/review during this period.

I am pleased to report that I got my Copr. I never even read the complete mail until much later. All I saw first was "we are pleased to inform you that you are now a permanent resident"... My joy knows no bound.

Notice of withdrawal faxed to RBD 9th june
Refugee withdrawn 10th june
Confirmation of withdrawal was mailed and recieved 14th June and forwarded to IRCC same day.
Copr 17th June.
