Guys that my friend i mentioned earlier about got refusal for the application and the reason stated in the letter was that the wife did not make 120 hours between March and August 2020.The total hours submitted was 768.2 hours And the wife started work in May 9,2020.So My friend is confused.Anyone know who had similar experience and what they did?
That must have been the reason why they called the agency to confirm whether she worked with them but unfortunately they couldnt remember when. If she is sure that she worked 120 hours in between the month of May 9th to August 14th 2020. She should gather all her pay stubs and cover letter from her agency and resubmit. 768 hours is nothing if she didnt complete the mandatory 120 hours.
Am sure the IRCC officer must have done his or her due diligence before refusing the application.

Hi, I don’t get it, doesn’t she know if she made the 120 hours or not?
She should get her paystubs together and make the calculations and I want to believe there is an administrative office where she works who can confirm if indeed she made the 120hrs during that period.
If she did make it gather all these evidences and re-submit.
But I want to believe IRCC must have made their investigation before replying.
Forget the total hours now, the main thing is the 120hours.
Moreover what proofs did she include when she sent in her application the first time ?
She submitted paystubs and a reference letter from the agency.Between May and August 2020 she worked for more than 120 hours except there is another way the calculation is done. She started May 9 and made about 40 to 50 hours every two weeks on part time basis. When you say they must have made their investigation before replying, what kind of investigation do you mean?

If I understand you.are you saying that 120 hours is separate from the 750 hours required for application?

Everyone is right. That must have been the issue. She needs to calculate every single hour she worked from March to August and see if it’s 120. If it is, she should reapply ASAP with a detailed letter of explanation. She should be very careful with the dates. The 120 hours must fall between March 13th to August 14. Whatever comes before or after that is not important right now. It might have been that she started counting from the beginning of March or the end of August. I wish her good luck. It’s a really crappy thing to be refused. :(.

I just read that she started working May 9th. It might be the end of August that has the issue.

To my own understanding the 120 hours doesn't need to start by march 13. In as much as the 120 hours is completed any month in between march 13 to August 14. Right?

Correct! As long as it falls between that time. It does not have to start by March 13th. It could start any month before August 14th.

She should get her paystub from her company. She can request for the printout

She has over 250 hours from May 9 to August 7 2020
Then she should get her paystubs and a reference letter from the agency or employer stating she worked 250 hours from may 9 to August 7th 2020 and reapply again with a detailed explanation. Or better still getting a lawyer involve.

Getting the printout of her paystub will give her a clear idea of how many hours she worked and attach it when applying again.
