It's great to hear that you're interested in migrating to Canada as a professional baker/cook. Canada offers several immigration pathways that you can explore to make your dream a reality.

One possible pathway for skilled tradespeople is the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), which is part of the Express Entry system. As a baker/cook, your occupation falls under NOC Minor Group 6320, which is eligible for the FSTP. To qualify, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  1. At least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the last five years.
  2. A valid job offer for a full-time position in Canada for at least one year, or a Certificate of Qualification in your skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.
  3. Meet the minimum language requirements in English or French.
  4. Meet the necessary requirements for the specific skilled trade as per the NOC.
You can create an Express Entry profile and enter the pool of candidates. Based on your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency during the Express Entry draws.

Another option is to explore the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) offered by various provinces in Canada. Many provinces have specific streams targeted towards skilled tradespeople. If you receive a provincial nomination, you'll get an additional 600 points to your CRS score, significantly improving your chances of receiving an ITA.

Lastly, you may also consider exploring temporary work permits. If you can find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a job, they may be able to help you obtain a temporary work permit through the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process.
