Passports with NDVO for more than 5 months now..

Hi! I finished my medicals and submitted my passports in December 2011. Since then nothing..I have sent a case specific enquiry to NDVO but I have not heard anything from them since. Is there anyone out there on the same boat? and is this delay normal?

Honestly, I'm getting a little worried now.

Send an e mail again to ndvo. Mine was with them for 2.5 mnts. I hv sent an e mail recently and w8ng for reply. When did u send cse to ndvo.

m waiting fm 3 monthes..(( n also thinking to put an cse but if NDVO is nt replying to that even .. so m double minded now.. shd i wait or put cse?? tired of in process status... sad sad sad ((

In April..Sent one out this month too. I think it is too much, them holding on to our passports for so long..

Hey Seniors,

Any idea as to why this is happening? How come some of them are getting their passports back from NDVO within a matter of days and some of us are kept hanging like this for months..and in one case, almost a year?

Strange , it's almost 1 year since you submitted your passports , in my view they can't hold the passport for so long

yes i send enquire in nov 2011 they say your application final stage finalize sortly

feb 2012 say your e-mail sent appropate section they will contact to you

in april 2012 say review are pending by vo as finish review next stap say you

now next month my medical will expire , i dont know what can i do ?

Did you try calling them? I heard somewhere that it works..It was mentioned on some other thread in this forum. worth a shot. My passport has been with them for 5 months now and I'm thinking of asking it back. They can ask for it when they are ready to stamp the visa. Cause honestly this is ridiculous. Passport is an important document and without it in a foreign land is a risky stay..
