Sent on December 8
Received December 11
No approval in my cic and ecas still have DM maybe we will get next week ( who’s delivered date is around 11 12 13 )
Passport was received by CIC on 12/11 and got approved yesterday... but return tracker is not yet activated...

They clearly mentioned in the email
DO NOT FILL OUT THE ADDRESS SECTION ON YOUR CANADA POST RETURN ENVELOPE.
I didn’t write anything return envelope was all empty

I asked my consultant too he said don’t write anything ..

I wonder why CIC requests not to fill out the from section on the return envelope?

do they fill it out themselves before they mail it? If not, what if you return envelope cannot be delivered to your address for whatever reason (e.g. you filled out your address incorrectly in excitement). If there is no 'from' address, what do Canadapost do with your passports then?

Seems like unnecessary headache for applicants as losing a passport in the mail (specially one with a limited validity visa) can be quite a hassle to deal with.

Hi everyone!
Just sent our passports today (Inland). With regards to the return envelope, we left it completely blank as per the email - was this the correct thing to do? Did the post office take off the blank customer receipt of the return envelope? They did for us and I am a bit worried about this

Did you atleast fill out the 'to' address on the return envelope? That is where your address would go to deliver the passports back to.

Sent out December 11 received by CIC on Dec 15 still nothing yet....

Usually takes atleast a week after approval before the return tracker is activated. Some are very lucky that theirs gets dispatched in a day or two.

Mine was approved Dec 28, still waiting for them to mail it.

I didn't fill out anything as it explicitly said "DO NOT FILL OUT THE ADDRESS SECTION ON YOUR CANADA POST RETURN ENVELOPE"
It just seems a bit weird, I really hope we did the right thing

Thanks for your reply - thought would rather leave it blank and then the envelope is still valid, the address is on the Annex A form so they do know where to send it. Never thought this part would be so stressful!
