Sent passport on August 30th, received by Ottawa on August 31st. No update since and nothing has changed on the online cic either.

I hope we will get status update on the same day soon :)

They have not touched any new passports received after August 26, 27 it looks. It's weird this kind of timeline because at the beginning of August passports got returned in just 10 days appx and now 2-3 weeks files are not even updated on the system. This is unusually slow and it's not good because they don't have a standard for this.

Maybe they will all come in together :) (and I hope sooner than later!!!)

PS: No changes in my statuses yet

I am not sure. But I think the approving must be done individually on each file and thus the status update on mycic should also be individual.
13 days in this process. No status update let alone tracker activation.

For sure, I am just wondering if the same people work on different quotas ie this week they need to finish their PPRs, next week their ITA's and so on.

Yea I hope for the same too!

Checked the August board this morning. It seems it is taking 2-3 weeks to get documents back.

I understand the frustration but don't worry, after the tracker is activated you will get your passport back next day.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I have sent the self addressed envelope with my documents but was only given one tracking number. Used it to track delivery of document to Ottawa.

Do you use same number for returned documents? Does CIC notify you?

It's not the same number. There is always a tracking number printed on the Envelop(with a barcode). It just gets activated when your mail is accepted / picked by Canada Post.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Had the tracking number printed on the receipt .. guess the girl at the counter did not tell me to to keep the number for the return envelope before I sealed it :-[

Oh well, opening my mailbox in the evening will be like opening presents ;D
