I am still not able to track via Canada Post .

How long do you guys figure before they actually mail my passport back to me?

They gave me way short time for landing and return tracker not activated yet....

Same here. My document is only valid till 2018 June but I think that's when medical expires

Yes on Nov 3rd they sent an email stating there has been an update to my application; I logged into MyCIC account and saw it was approved.

My Passport was delivered to the CPC PO Box in Ottawa on Oct 30. I had sent a mail couple of days ago asking about the receipt. But the agent replied back saying they haven't received it yet and to check again.

My question is - Is it common that they take sometime to open the passports from PO Box or DO i need to worry at this stage (Nov 8) ?

I'm in the same situation, approved on Nov 3rd and tracker isn't activated. So I suppose it's their problems...
