congrats ... just wondering do you usually get copr before the passport return? like do they email it to you

Last night, I checked approved & closed of my application! Tracking number is not activate yet.

I received email 13th November. And sent it 16th. Ottawa got it 20th last Friday.

Finally got Passport back 1 month and one day after in arrived at CIC. Failed delivery attempt Nov 10th due to lack of commercial invoice (shipping to the US)

Abhityagi, when are you traveling to India? I am also in the same situation as I booked my ticket to Egypt on December 18th and I want my passport before that!

well i still have quite a bit of time for that, its next month but towards the end

Passport sent: Nov 18th
Passport arrived CPC: Nov 23rd
Aprroval: not yet :'(

My flight is next Tuesday, I am so worried :'(

November 12th: PP rec'd in Ottawa
November 17th: Rec'd pp & copy documents back (Tracker was never activated)

I am living in Vancouver and crossed the border yday and came back a few hours later to activated PR, border office could not have been nicer. Just asked a few questions and got me to initial the PR paper, then we waited about 15mins for him to enter everything in computer he called us back up and gave us a small canada flag and congratulated us. He put PR letter in passport and said that CIC are behind and we won't get PR card for about 45days but because Ireland is visa exempt we can leave the country and re enter as they PR letter in paspport is our visa back in. Gave us information on getting new SIN number.

I was told you will first need to see the changes online in th eE-case like one more line should be add, which is " We have send you a letter correspondence ...." is that even true ?

yea now this is kinda annoying because for stamping visas and issuing COPR CIC should not take that long, thats what i feel, i do understand they could be overwhelmed with the number of applications but for Stamping they are sending out PPRs in batches and they know in that time frame they have to finish stamping visas and issuing COPR, dont know whats taking them so long

My passport (copy) arrived in Ottawa last Tuesday (17th). At 12am This morning my CIC status for the application changed to "Approved", but inside the application is still says background check in progress and final decision not made. The tracker on my return envelope has not activated. My ECAS access has disappeared.

I'm guessing I just have to wait a day or two more for the application to say "Approved and closed"? What does the CIC and ECAS look like of someone who got their passport back?
