passports to CPC-ottawa in October 2015

Hey guys,

I have a question. Got my PPR yesterday, I have everything ready to send. But I had a query, I have an old expired passport that has all the visas and everything and a new passport I got a few months ago. Should I just send the new passport in or should I attach any copies of the old passport?

I too have an old passport with visas but for the purpose of sending to Ottawa my lawyer advised and sent only the new passport indicating that they could be confused and make a mistake or question and all sorts. So yup I sent only the new one and kept my work permit and old passport. I got it back successfully with the visa just incase ur wondering...

No worry, same my case. I sent only new passport, two photos, copy of bio data page of the old passport, copy of passport request letter and letter of explanation.

If you applied using the new passport then you send only the new passport. if you applied with the old passport and now you have a different passport then i guess you need to inform CIC of the change and senior members can give you better direction.

Hi there. Same boat as you GSherrif. UK Citizen too, dropped Ottawa an emai asking for a VO transfer and waiting. You read right. They are only after 2 photos and copies of your passport, not the actual passport. Drop them an email and hopefully you ll get a PPR email from the London Visa with all the details.

Thanks Lumen, I'm already in CAnada, so I don't need to change the VO. Just send to Ottawa. Are you still in the UK?

I sent my passport last saturday October 24th ; it reached Ottawa this Tuesday October 27th; hoping for a quick resolution; looking at the trends it should be + or - 2 weeks?
