I have sent my passport to Ottawa two weeks ago, case closed and approved last Wednesday. CIC confirmed they sent out my passport this Monday.
However, the tracking # never got activated.
I called CIC to confirm the tracking #, as well as Canada Post. The guy from Canada Post told me if they have no information on the parcel, then they didn't receive it.
I can't stop thinking about the possibility that my passport is lost by Canada Post, please kindly suggest what I can do at this point.
I lived in West coast, and I got an email to confirm my mailing address last Thursday just like you. Not sure what to do at this point.bellaluna said:How long should it take to be delivered to you?
I recall a few cases here where the tracking got activated only on the day of delivery.
I suggest you keep contacting Canada Post until someone is willing to give you more detailed info instead of a generic answer.

I wrote another email to CIC just asking them to confirm that it was not held in the office.

I am in same situation,application got approved on 1-july,CIC agent confirmed passport mailed on 4-july but tracker not activated yet.

I have one friend in canada post and he said that if tracker is not activated for more then 5 days ,it must be with CIC and not reached to canada post.
