Hi guys got my CoPR and Stamped PP today,

I have a quick question.

Can I go back to My country, India for 1 month and will do the landing at Toronto airport while coming back with my wife?

She submitted her passport , banglore visa office before 10 days.

If you have a job offer letter here in Canada ,yes you can go and comeback. but if not, they would ask proof of fund of 15k for two dependent 12k for 1 dependent. make sure this. what I would suggest you first land as PR by Crossing US border / by getting an appointment,then go to India bring your wife and she can land as a PR. hope this helps

Today, I have received my COPR and instructions but after reading them I have a few doubts. I will appreciate if you help me resolve them.

CIC says that if you are residing in Canada , you have 2 options to do the landing

1. you can call CIC and make an appointment at their office or

2. If you are not able to arrange an appointment you may do the landing through the land border.

So, does it mean that we must do the first option unless we can't do it for some reason?

My second question is,

I don't have a USA's visitor visa and I am from the country where the visa is required to go to US.
So, is that possible to do the landing at Canadian land border Port of entry(Canada-US) without USA's visa?

You are not going to enter USA... USA Immigration officer will refuse you to enter USA since you dont have a VIsa.. tell him/her that you wanna land as a Canada PR so they will provide you a Flag of poll form and take that come back to canada border give to the Canadian immigration officer that you have crossed Canada border and comeback. make sure you have all docs like offer letter/pay stub proof of fund. if you are a PNP PR applicant then nothing is requried except passports and COPR and proof of address. if you decide to cross border then it would take around 3-4 hours. and it depends on people. hope this helps

it wont take more than 2-3 weeks. bangalore used process very fast. so she should have received within 14 days

The PR Card has to be sent to the mailing address you mentioned. to verify they used to ask the proof of address.

but i already mentioned my residential address and mailing address differently. we always have two options. one is residential and the other is mailing. it can either be same or different
