PASSPORTS TO CPC-OTTAWA in April 2016

Tou will receive a visa and the COPR in your return envelope. When you finish your landing formalities, either at the border or a CIC office by appointment, the officer will ask you for an address when he processes your forms and the new PR card will be sent to you within 60 days (as per the current processing time). You will do the paper work when you land (the last stage of PR process).

If you are a temp worker, you will have to apply for a new SIN number.

You are cutting in too close. The current turn around time after the application is approved and closed is 2-3 weeks. So even if your PP is processed ASAP, and the application is approved, which usually takes 5-7 days, you are looking at another 7-10 days before your get your passport. You should have sent an email to the CPC-Ottawa email id before you sent your PP.

All you can do now is end an email to the email id mentioned on your PPR. They usually revert back within 3-5 days.

I am not trying to scare you and hope that your passport is processed expeditiously, however, it will be close.

It should be active today by 6pm (Ottawa timing) , mine got activated yesterday - my application was closed on April 14.

Yes, I got an email saying my account has been updated. And saw the changes when I logged into MyCIC

No, I don't have any email neither before I got PPR or application got approved.
I just figured out by myself.
I check online twice/ day....lol
