Passports to Accra Visa Office !

My passport was kept on the day of interview on 5th November at the Canadian Embassy Accra , the VO kept all the supporting documents together with my passport after the interview and assured me , if I’m approved I will be given a call for pick up .. visa fee is paid , passport photos submitted, everything is done now , and it’s tako long for visa stamping? DO u think I should visit the embassy or the VFS Accra

Visit which ever is local to you. VFS or Embassy.

I do like to also vent.
I sent in my passport to the VFS in Abuja June 27th 2019. I got my tracking no 2019xxxxx. The past 6months now it has been your visa is processing at the Canada visa office.
I have written 3 separate emails to the embassy, no response. I have called repeatedly the Lagos VFS office and I keep getting same response, send them an email.
I have gone to the VFS office in Abuja severally and the same story. Your passport is at the consulate (where that is I don't know).
I am losing my mind here. How can you hold a passport for 6months!!!
Pls Distinguished any advice will be greatly appreciated this time.

That's wrong info. For the past 2 weeks now it's been done in Lagos. I submitted my passport to vfs lagos on Tuesday and even spoke to the woman there, she confirmed it's now Lagos and that it could take about a week plus to get the copr back. They've changed it.

If it is been done in Lagos, why do they say the passport is at the consulate. Even the vfs tracking says processing at the Canada visa office. I have waited for over 6 months now and no word on my status even after several calls and emails. I don't know what else to do.

Finally I got an update from Accra.

Please be informed that your document is ready for pick up. Kindly arrange with a courier service to pick up your package with a copy of the email and an authority note.

Does that mean I can go to DHL and pay them to pick up my passport? Do they even have that kind of service to pick up parcels?

Picked up my passport along with copr today around 12 noon. VFS hasn't sent out a pick up notice yet neither by e-mail nor sms.
I decided to go in person today because i was told of someone who picked up their's last week Monday as well.

Brief timeline:

Passport submission: 19th Nov (Tuesday)
COPR update on CIC account: 4th Dec (Wednesday)
Passport Pick-up: 9th December (Monday)

P.S Visa is still in being issued in Accra, Ghana.

I was there today was told my passport is still at the embassy for processing it’s been almost a month they have my passport now

That's weird. Did you apply for Express Entry though?
