UPDATE regarding carrying cash from Pakistan!
today I spoke to one FIA person at airport. I told him that I with my wife and kid, will be travelling to Toronto inshAllah on 8 april on permanent resident immigrant visa with family and I m carrying 35K Canadian dollars in cash. will FIA or customs can cause any problem on that? cos this week one model also got caught while smuggling 5.5 lac US dollars from Lahore.
he said the limit is 10K US dollars per person......so u are all total 3 persons.......so u can easily carry 30K in cash. no one will question or say anything. I said but mine are 35K.......he said go ahead and carry 45K! no one will even bother or care. I said why is that so?
he said first US dollar is at 101......Canadian is at 82. so 30K US dollars equals 38K Canadian dollars.........so in this way u r under limit.........second......even though limit is 10K US dollars........people tends to carry some more than that........like people normally carry 14K easily......and no one says a single word or searches or objects or anything..........so for three passports......even if u carry 45K Canadian dollars in cash......no one even notices or bothers.
he further said that that model was carrying way beyond the limits and also she cant prove that it was her money. if u r carrying ur bank statement of last 12 months with u then u can easily proof that its ur money. also u r leaving ur country for good.....and will establish ur settlement there so u need funds for that so on immigration visa no one cares to ask or even interrogate u. u r good to go.
so this was it. I also prayed and asked help from Allah......so again thanks Allah........HE made it easy for me again.....solved my problem and I got authentic official reply.
