Passports Sent to Ottawa Office from USA

Just to confirm...So if my friend in Canada sends my passport to Ottawa with a returning Canada Post envelope (with tracking), CPP-Ottawa will send the passports to USA address in those pre paid envelopes??
Please confirm. If my understanding is correct, this is the best way to do as you and Amitesh suggested....

Check with your friend, If Canadian pre paid post allows that then there shouldn't be any issue. Or, they will send your passport to your friend then they can forward to you. In my case, even we have requested to send my passport to my USA address they still sent my passports to my attorney in Canada.

I will suggest you to take your friend help in this process.

Dear Members,

Does anyone sent Passport to CPP-Ottawa in October 2013 from USA? We sent our passport on 23rd October 2013 from USA to Ottawa..

Pl update if any one sent in that time frame.. I am guessing it would take 3-4 weeks..to get Passport back.. am I right?

Hi, Yes I sent my passports on 23rd oct and they received on 25th oct.....

Please include the details which postal agency delivered the passport (like USPS, UPS) and did they required your signature or delivered at doorstep.

Please let me know if passport delivery required your signature or delivered at doorstep in your absence. I send my passport to CPP-Ottawa on 23rd Oct and it reached there 24 th Oct. I am now eagerly awaiting my passport return.

Since Mine came back in Canada Post, It did not require any signature. It was left in my mail box. Normally, takes about 4 weeks before you get it because it takes close to week or two for shipping to US from Canada.

I got my visa stamped and passport returned on Nov 14, 2013. CPP-Ottawa returned my passport to my consultant based in Toronto instead of sending back to me in USA.

It worked great for me. 2 weeks from beginning to the end, roundtrip to CPP-O and back.
