Passports Sent to Ottawa in October/November/December 2014

Send what exactly they have asked, nothing more, nothing less.
I'm married but in my case they only asked me to send our passports and a copy of PPR email.

You are right. Send only the documents they ask for.

Some people are asked about biodata form, pictures etc. while others are asked to send passport only. My cousin was asked to send passport only and I kept on insisting to send photos etc as well. He didn't send any thing addition just his passport and he got his PP and COPR without any problem.

although i didn't send my passport i just sent pictures, all I'm waiting for is the COPR
it should be here by Thursday at the latest i paid for Two day delivery i live in Alberta

Hello Everyone!

I am Jan applicant and I got the PPR on Nov 7th. Sent my passports but it is still on the way ( Canada Express Post ).

My questions are :

1. How long it's gonna take to receive passport back ?
2. What is the time limit they give on COPR ( Expiry Date ) ?
3. I am planning to go back home and while coming back I can do Landing ?
4. Or I can finish the landing process here and wait for PR Card ?
5. If I am waiting for PR Card, how long it's gonna take ?
6. Can we request PR Card to send us faster as I have my flight by Dec 28th ?

My mind is blowing with all these questions.. Please help Sad

The thing is CBSA officers, at the boarder, have unbelievable authority on accepting or rejecting who wants to enter to Canada with any sort of visa. In most cases they are nice, helpful and welcoming but in some odd ones they want you provide more information about yourself!

In Alberta, lots of my friends have landed at Coutts and Carway boarder offices and in none of those cases the officers asked for employment letter or bank statement.

Anyway, I think it's safe to have some documents about your financial status when you want to land.

Passport sent to CPP-OTTAWA October 30, 2014 and received by CPP October 31, 2014. Return tracking is not activated yet..

it's about 2 weeks, just got our from the mail yesterday. sent it last oct 23, they received it oct 24 and visa was issued oct 27. goodluck!

Thats my plan too however ive learn that we can book an appointment at CIC office( to do all the paperwork required )closest to where i live however it takes 3 weeks and when i called they asked for CoPR which i dont have yet.

CIC processing times change time to time, so you need to find a thread for who applies around August and compare your status with others.

My passport reached Ottawa by today ( Nov 12th @12:23 PM ). Count down starts from today for me.
