Okay Guys quick question 8)

I was actually thinking to land right away but since it looks like there are some steps I have to follow if I want to travel outside Canada before getting PR card,

I am actually thinking to land when I am coming back to Canada from the trip :) it seems just much easier than going through all the nonsense I have to prepare (application for calculating days......etc)

we don't have to do all these non-sense steps if we travel with PR card

how many days are you given to land once you get COPR?

I am booked for tickets in First week of april, and just returning back 2nd week of April :)

any advices would help!!

I was given till last week of May to land, for everyone its different but I think you should be fine with 2nd week of April. :) :)

Good luck.

Hi i guess length of visa they issue is usually till date the medical is valid so that person can land before expiry of medical validity

Yes, have all old-new work permit, study permit with you while landing. You need to surrender these while landing.

I'm not sure about Service Canada landing., check CIC website if its allowed.

Make sense since I completed my Medical last May. :)

but one of my friend got VISA VALID for a year (2014 year case)

This may be brcause visa officers can reassess the medicals and extend medical validity for 1 more year , if medical have been done in last 15 months
