- you are allowed to work legally with the COPR document, as soon as you land .. right ?
- you are allowed to work/reside anywhere in Canada including Quebec, with the PR card .. right ?
Please suggest.
I had the same question in this thread. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/passports-copies-to-cpcottawa-in-december-2015-lets-connect-t385334.0.html;msg4869115#msg4869115JK546 said:I need to go out of canada on Feb 15 and ll return in March..Do I need to wait till march to do landing or r there any other alternatives.
Hello Jamason, jamason said:I am not sure. if you have US visa you leave canada in a vehicle to US. Travel from and to US. And enter back in a vehicle. I know it is cumbersome. But this way you don't a travel document or PR card.
yes travel doc is a hassle. better to wait for pr card.sukhdeep1234 said:Hello Jamason,
Even i was thinking the same but somebody told me that you will require to show the return ticket from US as you are entering as visitor to US. they don't care if you have all documents to enter canada (they might say no) because we don't have PR card of canada. so still not satisfied to take that risk .............the best would be wait till PR Card or go back home and then land while coming back. Travel document also looks hassle to me lot of form need to fill and no timeline(clause written that it depends upon the officer if he is satisfied) ... so please don't take risk after all hard work in EE.
wow great so you send just copies right not your passport?liamE said:PR app 'approved' in my cic. passport copies sent 30th December.

yep visa exemot. I imagine it takes longer if you need a visa because you go in the queue for the printer that makes the stamp and the man with pritstick who glues it in.ntwkengg said:wow great so you send just copies right not your passport?
so i guess if visa exempt then looks like 7-8 days for visa it takes 15-18 days.
