Visa and study permit are two different things, right?

I already paid for my tuition fee in high school. I will extend my stay in Canada as a visa student and then i will get a study permit.

I want to go back to my country (Vietnam) in summer. Someone told me that I can use my study permit to re-entry Canada, and they said these
things are the same!!!???? But in my previous study permit, it has a text like " This does not authorize re- entry". OMG!! I'm totally lost.

Can someone explain this to me?

P/S: Can you show me steps to re- entry Canada when I finished vacation?

THANK YOU

you should have a valid VISA to travel.
Yes Student permit and VISA are two different things.
Make sure both are valid when u r traveling. if your VISA is expired than Apply for TRV in buffalo.

Hi yq310

Sohail.ali is right. Study Permit and Visitors Visa are to different type of documents. You must have Visitors visa if you want to come back to Canada after your vacation. Study Permit, as it is written on it, does not authorize re-entry. For you purposes you have to have both - SP and VV.

Good luck!
